This is a visually very cool place. I really like the old style, Les Halles-esque, glass arcade. There's lots to do, like sitting with with coffee or meeting someone for dinner. It's especially nice now in the summer, for it's an open-aired arcade and the sun looks cool refracted through the glass roof.

LED Festival. August 27th and 28th. Now, don't take my comment too harshly. The event is not till August, so I haven't even been yet. I mean that I would try this event, but am not sure about my level of commitment to throwing shapes and getting my Electro on in sleeve-less T in Victoria Park.

The park is a good idea almost any day, but this summer offers a special festival, July 16th-18th: The Lovebox Weekender with Dizzee Rascal + Chase And Status + Ellie Goulding + The Maccabees + Chew Lips + Crookers + Toddla T + Joy Orbison. Lots of different sounds and fun for varied tastes.

Matthew Lawrence loved Gunnersbury Park (London Mela!)

Gunnersbury Park is a nice get away if you need some green, but it is especially awesome August 8th for London Mela! This is a free festival for the family and the largest South African celebration in London. On the heels of the World Cup, this is perfect. 1-8pm August 8th.

Matthew Lawrence loved Keat's House, Hampstead Heath

In 1925 the home of the whimsical poet who used to haunt London bars opened up to the public. Since then it has been a wonderful summer option, especially with the tempting ambiance and old-time British feel of Hampstead and Hampstead Heath.
